Before you take a seat

Your conversation.
Your choices.

Try Nina privately.

You can try a five-minute conversation before signing up. We transcribe it, but do not draft or publish it. A private browser cookie lets us connect that conversation automatically when you create or sign in to an account in the same browser. The cookie lasts seven days. Saving a trial does not grant publication permission: we ask you to accept the interview terms before continuing it as an on-record interview.

On the record, with your consent.

When you accept the on-record interview terms, you agree that Bonzai may transcribe the conversation, use AI to edit and paraphrase it into an article and posts, and publish the article with your name, role and company. Published reporting also appears on person, company and topic pages and may be quoted or combined into broader articles with links to its sources. Nina is an AI journalist. Publication is automated.

A preview before publication.

We send a private preview to your email. Eligible news commentary publishes automatically after a 30-minute preview; features and profiles have 24 hours. Your email and preview show the scheduled time. You can choose Publish now to release an eligible draft sooner. You do not need to approve it. Interviews begun under the earlier 48-hour window keep that window. The private link lets you pull the piece before or after publication, or request a correction. A correction pauses publication and starts a new preview window when resolved. Pulling or correcting a source also removes combined pieces that depend on that version. Profiles bring together published reporting and the profile photo you choose to share. Homepage selection is automated and separate from publication.

Off the record.

Tap “Mute” in the floating panel to mute your microphone. You can also say “off the record”; once detected, the interview pauses. Use the button for immediate control. The nearby transcript is excluded from the article and saved memory. Tap “Unmute” to resume. Do not share information you are not entitled to disclose.

Your private conversation with Nina.

Your account connects your interviews, drafts and reporting across devices. You can sign in with Google or a one-time email code. Google shares your name, verified email and profile photo so we can create and recognize your account. We use a secure sign-in cookie. We do not request access to your contacts, email messages or files. Your private messages help Nina develop ideas and prepare questions. They are not source material for published stories: you choose when to start an on-record interview. You can clear your private chat from Your profile. Nina uses recent messages and earlier reporting as context; she may ask you to remind her of older details.

Your Google profile photo, or a photo you upload, appears with your published reporting. We resize it and remove embedded metadata. You can replace or remove it from Your profile. Private conversation data and account email addresses do not appear on public profiles.

Sharing Bonzai.

Anyone can join Bonzai. Each member has a personal sharing link. If you join through one, we record who referred you. That member can see how many people joined, but cannot see your email, conversations or drafts.

What we keep.

We keep your contact details, consent, private messages, on-record transcript, article and posts. The conversation view retains your latest 300 messages; interview reporting remains connected to your account. Your private returning-interview link connects your reporting history, corrections and open questions so Nina can prepare for later conversations. We do not share unpublished interviews with other interviewees. We do not store an audio recording in this prototype. Audio is processed by OpenAI to conduct the interview; provider retention policies also apply.

Your private link.

Anyone with your private link can read, pull or delete your piece. Keep it private. Use the delete control to remove the interview, transcript, article, posts and its saved summary from Bonzai’s active database. Previously sent emails, copied posts and third-party caches cannot be recalled.

Editorial limits.

We use automated checks to keep thin or unresolved sensitive pieces private. These checks can make mistakes. We edit and paraphrase for readability. Please flag errors through your private preview.
